Hi All, I hope that this finds you well. So the winter is a wee way off but coming none the less and what better way to while away those cold evenings than playing guitar!? I'm thinking about doing another road trip and am putting the feelers out to see if people might be interested? For those new to the forum, I did a road trip a few years ago with one of my Tirga Beag models. There where around 30 plays that took part and the feedback that I received was amazingly helpful! This trip would be open to all members of the forum. So if you would like to be part of the tour please let me know and then we can decide what model you might like to play. I'm very busy at the moment and don't think that things will let up much before Christmas so it will most likely start in the new year. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. All the very best, Rory www.taranguitars.co.ukrorydowling@taranguitars.co.uk

Brilliant!! I'm up for that, oh yes please Rory! Happy to try anything, though I'd especially like something with a cedar top and/or mahogany back and sides if that might be remotely possible! (Bet that didn't surprise you eh Rory! ) Thanks v much indeed for being willing to do another Road Trip! Keith

Superb stuff, Rory! I'm definitely up for that, and I reckon I'd be up for most guitar types, although I'd like to try something cedar topped like Keith, maybe with mahogany or even walnut B&S. Alternatively, an Adirondack dread with mahogany B&S. Or even a mandolin Love the silver label btw

Rory!
Great stuff. Count me in, despite the forthcoming TBs...
I'm intrigued by the Cedar top/Coco body model made by Donal McGreevy which was mentioned in another thread. Sounds an interesting combination.
Glad you're busy and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best,
Alasdair.

At last I can join in - so a big yes from me. Something suitable for fingerstyle would be good for me.

Hi Rory. Love to take part. I remember when I first met you, at the Cheltenham Guitar Show. Many years ago. You had an amazing small jumbo. Best guitar at the show, I reckon. Love to see something like that gain.
Cheers.
Graham.

I'd be up for it!
If I could suggest a particular model of guitar, it'd be the one which Rory considers to be his most versatile for a multitude of different styles; I imagine there's a multitude of different playing styles amongst those who would potentially be up for the road trip...

I would also like to take you up on your very gracious offer. I agree that a guitar capable of playing different styles would be useful. As to body style and tonewoods - My preference leans towards OM/000, but under the circumstances, it is an honour to try any. Woods - hmmm, Adirondack/IRW, Cedar/Cocobolo...
