Martin: That little peice of kit looks ideal for quiet practice. I'm guessing, being Palmer, it's not too much cash?

Get her, Martin! Cool guitar! To get the best out of this beauty without playing in a band, of course you also need one of these: And then plug in the guitar, plug in the in-ears and forget the world outside At least that's what I did yesterday evening with my PRS SE. Worked splendidly I meant to ask, Akquarius....what is this? Is it an effects box or headphone amp? How does it let me play without a band? It's an effects box. And a headphone amp. And a few things more: Line 6 Pod IIThere are several editions of this tool, even a small and handy pocket version

Just over £60 for the Palmer, and it seems ideal for what I want.
I considered the POD too Bernd, but I found that used ones were costing almost £50, so I got this one instead.

Here's another thing.
While I don't need a case just now, I will probably need something at some point to protect the guitar(s).
The Jag came with a reasonable padded gig bag, which is ok for now, but the Tele came with nothing at all, so I'm sharing the gig bag!
I kinda dislike the rectangular wooden cases that are common to electric guitars, and I also am a bit tired of black coloured cases.
So has anyone got any ideas about Telecaster hard cases that are a bit different from the norm, but not astronomically expensive?

I used to have a camouflage, rectangular hard case, which I picked up for about £20, 'cause no one liked it. Managed to get rid of it eventually but it was a bit "different".

I found something that might fit the bill - it's not rectangular, not entirely black and seems a bit different alright, so I ordered one. I'll let you know what it's really like when it turns up!

That looks nice Martin, quite stylish. Is it a hard foam case?
I'm a fan of the rectangular case. More protection, I reckon.
Be interesting to hear what that is is like.

I thought it was a hard foam type case as well when I first saw it, but no it appears to be a hard, plastic (ABS?) type of case. Here's another pic that makes it a bit clearer...

My motto is, if you've only got a semi, you probably don't need protection....

Well, the case arrived, but it is a bit crap. The idea is good - I like the latches, it feels solid enough, and it's lightweight. Unfortunately, the inner lining isn't very 'plush', there are a few rough patches, and crucially, part of the plastic moulding around the lip of the case is warped, which means I can't close the lid properly It's being returned and I'll probably just get a Gator or Hiscox...
