Nicely done, alexkirtley! If I'm right, as well as the Brunner Mine, there's also a foldup guitar called a Brunner (I think Akquarius has one) so there's a nice little bit of synchronicity! I'm happy to be relegated to 2nd place (so far) cos I'm going to pressurise colins for a set of strings for the runner-up

Fab entry there Alex - enjoyed the raw energy in the guitar playing, and the story behind the song really added to the listening of it. Keith

Great Entry Alex. Love the deep bassy vocals and the story of the song.

This is of course going to be made as a right handed guitar, but if there are any left handers out there that want to enter, well go ahead, if you win then I'll just build you a left hand guitar of your choice,
Colin

Will there be a soundport on the guitar? I was just wondering because sometimes they aren't for everyone, some like 'em some don't.

Oh yes, there will be a soundport, all of my steel string guitars have them. The important consideration is that I like them! In fact I have just come in from the workshop having cut it. Colin

Cool! I've never been sure what they do, am I right in thinking they give the player a better idea of the sound coming from the guitar as heard from the front?

Apologies if I don't listen to the entries until after the competition's over, folks. Knowing the standard of work here, I'd probably despair and wouldn't post anything if I did.
Now on my second attempt to write something. The first was a poppy affair with lots of strummage, but I didn't think it was guitar-y enough, so it's back to the soundboard.

Yes they do act as a kind of player monitor, there is also a theory that they help the guitar 'breath' better and project more, not sure I agree with that, but they definitely help the player experience, especially with the more lyrical finger style player. Also a cunning move to use an instrument made by 50% of the judging panel.....hmmm, now there's a thought! Keith I don't suppose there's any chance that either of the judges are related to Mr Vintage or Senor Ibanez?

In an effort to keep this thread active and encourage those who are keeping their powder dry to ...ermmm... get it wet, I've re-recorded Unlucky Bluestone. So there.
