I paid a visit to jonnymosco this week and he kindly put "El Xiprer" through its paces and we compared it to "El Diamante Negro". To paraphrase the Carling seagull advert - it's very good but not quite flamenco. A little too full and resonant in the trebles so I'm going to put the crappy black nylon La Bella treble strings back on Here's Jonny letting rip on "El Xiprer": "El Xiprer Jonny M"I also got the chance to play his lovely new Sobell - very tasty

I really enjoyed playing El Xiprer - it has all the exciting fret noise of a flamenco and made my flamencoey efforts sing. In comparison with my flamenco (which Dave helped build) which has little sustain and a percussive tone, it had a fullness to the tone and sustain, not necessarily a bad thing, just different to mine. The strings will make a difference and I'm looking forward to playing it again.

Well that's at least three people: the two guitarists and Dave dancing - no wonder he didn't do a video!

Well . . . the mp3 was taken from the video (shot using a Zoom Q2 HD) so I have the proof that it was one guitarist and Dave frantically resisting the temptation to dance and hold the camera still

Would love to see some videos of James playing El Xiprer (please!).
