Followed it and realise I've already got some! However, it's hard to get in narrow enough sizes in this country and I ended up trying to put a bandsaw down the middle of a wide roll. Don't try it. Messy. Probably dangerous, too. Nevertheless, when I have managed to use some of it, it's very very strong and does "pull back" nicely once it's attached. And now I have a source in this country. Thanks.

Head and tail block made, then the linings glued in and the rims radiused with the dishes.

Definitely starting to look like a guitar!
...unfortunately my efforts for the competition entry so far haven't yielded anything that sounds like an original or even recognisable arrangement of Blackwaterside...

Thanks Colin. Far too wide for me and as I suspected so that counts me out then. To be honest with some relief - not much into arrangement of other tunes but if it had been 44mm I would have been losing sleep thinking about it Cheers Phil

Phil, have a go. If you win, I can always rework the neck to a narrower nut for you. It's just a matter of unbolting the neck, reworking it, new nut and refinish, I'd be happy to do it, not a problem.

My day for rosettes. The rosette was installed and sanded level, the rosette is Gonzalo alves and B/pear/B.
Then the plate was taken to near final thickness and the soundhole cut out.
And then the plate cut out to its plantilla.

That's a very nice rosette indeed. However, as I'm getting nowhere (but fast) with an entry, it's irrelevant LOL

Bracing time starting as usual with the back.
This is the brace layout I use on the top for this model.
When profiling the braces in the radius dish I always tape the pairs together as I find that this helps me to keep the braces square to the dish.
I hope you are all beavering away at your arrangements!
