It was great to see Iain playing to an audience last night and having the experience of actually being a member of the an audience for live music. I must add that Raphael is no slouch when it comes to performing. Unfortunately my evening was curtailed by Mrs gedarby’s headache nevertheless a good time was had by all. Th West Kirby Arts Centre is an excellent venue which I would recommend to anyone who is relatively local so hats off to the staff for doing a great job.

I’m hosting the next “Tuesday LIVE” session at West Kirby Arts Centre on 26th October with a theme of Country Blues & Roots. The first half will be an open mic session. I’ll start off the 2nd half and will introduce my guests Jayne Livesey, Ruth Dyke, and topping the bill will be our very own geddarby . Doors open at 6:30 pm with the music starting at 7:30 pm. Admission £4. It promises to be a great night. Be good to meet any forum members there. Iain Tuesday proof by Iain Paterson, on Flickr

“Topping the bill” Oh dear I suddenly feel the need of brown trousers and bicycle clips. However it’s always worth making the effort to see and hear lavaman perform.

It's the sign of a true pro that you have the foresight to mitigate any butterflies Ged, I'd probably wear white shorts and have to do a Gary Lineker mid set. Sounds like it will be a top evening, enjoy!

Just off to buy tickets for Clive Carroll, who's playing at Mycenae House in Blackheath next March. See www.wegottickets.com/event/529251(Any time I start feeling at all happy with my playing, I just need to go and see someone like this)

Not a gig exactly, but between 6:30 - 7:30 tomorrow evening (Tuesday 2 November) I’ll be the guest on Rowland Jones’s Talking Songs show, livestreamed on www.talkingsongs.uk and Facebook. It’s an hour long interview/discussion on songwriting - normally the guest would play a few of their songs live, but because of a recent injury I can’t currently sit in a position to play guitar for any length of time. There’ll be some videos, hopefully, to compensate. In some weeks the show has apparently had thousands of listeners from all around the world, so maybe it’s just as well that I can’t make a fool of myself live on air, after nearly two years of musical hibernation….

Friday 8th July, I'll be supporting folk artist Kim Lowings. Kim has a fantastic voice and is a mean piano player and master of the mountain dulcimer. The venue is St Mary's Creative Space in Chester CH1 2DW. Its a converted church with wonderful acoustics. I'll be playing my most recent songs and a little bit of blues. Be great to welcome any forum members. Tickets from sound_box@live.co.uk www.facebook.com/SoundBoxChester/Iain Attachments:

Sadly, we've had to postpone this gig due to covid. We're all keen to reschedule, and hope to arrange a new date soon. Meanwhile, good health to the Lowings family. Iain
