Today Andrew drove up from Devon to Somerset. Amazingly, he remembered to bring Anthea Cool with him - Even more amazingly he left her here when he went - ...but not before we discovered that our taste in guitars is not all we have in common - Great to meet up with Andrew again (we first met some years ago when I took the first Road Trip guitar down to Devon )and talk guitars! Since the handover, other than a quick tinkle, I've had no time at all to even begin to get acquainted with Andrea, so gratification will have to be delayed slightly! Watch this space! Keith

You could keep reusing these photos and simply swap the guitar between yourselves until the next lucky participant intervenes

When I woke up in the morning light I put on new strings and I feel all right. I put my new strings on, I put my Newtone strings on.
Anthea seems to like them too!

A snow day has at least given me a quiet afternoon to do some recordings with Anthea. Apols for the sh, you know who ad - maybe they'll sponsor me! My arrangement of Eleanor Plunkett, an all-time favourite choon. Pic from webcam isn't v sharp (I think the autofocus is stuffed) but it's OK if not taken up to fullscreen. Sound is via Zoom H2n into Cakewalk for topping and tailing. Flat eq, no effects. I think I'm going to like this guitar! Keith

And I think Anthea like Carolan choons. Here's my arrangement of Bridget Cruise with capo at second fret. Recording details as previous vid.

And to complete a trio of Carolan tunes, here's my arrangement of "She begs for more" with capo at fret 5 - v little loss of sustain or resonance - lovely! Recorded as above.

One last vid for now - my arrangement of John McCusker's fab tune, Ann Maguire's Silver Wedding Waltz. Recording details as above. A few goofs in this one!
I promise to wear a different T-shirt for any further vids I may inflict upon you. Though I suspect I'll do some songs next - they'll be audio only as I don't like singing to a webcam....

Phew! Hard to keep up ! Lovely to see Anthea performing in a skilled pair of hands ...Eleanor , Bridget and Ann are an eminently presentable trio of sisters and show off A's genes perfectly! How did your T shirt get past ad blocker??!

Great videos Keith! You've managed to exceed my output within a week of having the guitar, I'd like to be able to say it's the quality rather than quantity that matters but I think you've beat me there too. I think I can claim a greater variety of t-shirts at least?

Beautiful sounds - a testament to guitar, and maker, player, and strings! She takes a capo really well too - very impressive. Mark

Lovely tunes Keith. That little guitar has a BIG sound. I do think your recordings could do with a little more compression
