Thanks everyone for your kind (so far) comments. Iain, I try and blend the colour palette and wanted the rosewood to be the star of the show, I felt the only other possibility for the binding and neck laminate would have been ebony, but preferred the walnut. Oh and Iain I don't think I've ever felt the responsibility of doing right by the wood as I have with this guitar, I hope that it gets your approval come Halifax!

After much sanding, pore 'filling' and a wash coat of shellac I have added just a quick coat of the finish, now you can see roughly what the woods will look like. Lots more sanding, finish rubbing and general phaffing about to come. Colin

Very nice chocolate like colours. The great thing about working with BRW is that when you sand or cut it there is a strong smell of chocolate, if you put a Port Orford top and a Cedrela neck on it you'd have the best smelling guitar in the world! Colin
