Not a major development, but the Hiscox Pro case has arrived. Thanks for your kind comments everyone, it's a real privilege to be given the chance to work with such great wood, I'll be eternally grateful to lavaman for his generocity. Colin

A little hiatus in the build while life got in the way, but back in the workshop today to make the last wood bit for the guitar. Now the more observant of you will have noticed that the guitar, as of yet, has no bridge, normally a prerequisite for the playing of a guitar. Now I have heard a lot of you play, so maybe leaving the bridge off would be a good move. The artisan in me however will not allow a non-functioning instrument to leave the shop, so today I made the bridge. First step is to cut some Brazilian Rosewood (from an old sideboard) to size and double tape it to my highly complex jig, a board with an angled line draw on it, and using, my home made router table cut the saddle slot, I also drilled the pin holes using the drill press. The back of the bridge is radiused to 25' on my domed sanding block (it will be refined on the actual top later). The rear profile is cut on the band saw, then I have at it with my Japanese saw file to rough out the shape then finalise it on the spindle sander in the drill press. Finally, for now, the pin holes are reamed to 5deg and the holes countersunk. Colin
