Hi Casey,
I am curious why your teacher thinks D'Addario 12s will be like chesewire. What do you have on at the moment?
Its more likely movement in the guitar than the strings causing the problem.

Hi Colan,
Sorry I don't know what you mean by add a k. I tried to not make it sound like an advert, just trying to offer him some options.
... Spotted it now and added. Thanks.

Hi Chris, I don't know where you are located but if you can get to Brighton I have around 80 new and used handmade guitars in stock. There are also all on my website. Free tea and coffee available and a playing room. www.theacousticmusicco.co.uk

I have over 60 US and Canadian luthier built guitars in stock. If you take a trip to Brighton you can try them out for yourself. I have a playing room and make coffee.. I currently have a Taran and a very similar spec guitar by US builder Pat Foster for comparison, no Sobells right now. www.theacousticmusicco.co.uk

I only use the Custom Shop section of the AGF and usually find it to be very civilised. Generally moderators don't seem to be as active as on other forums.

Here's one that came through as I was reading this.
" I am Mr.Paul and would like to order(Guitar) and what would be the price for each unit so that i can Quote you with the Quantity i want to order..Also what type of payment do you accept,Thank you and reply ASAP"
I rarely look at ebay so can't be much help with that, I mostly see scammers buying not selling.

Hi Calv,
Carved top and back mandolins are typically 1 1/8" at the nut and don't often vary by more than 1/16". Flat top mandolins are generally wider, up to 1 3/8" is common.

Its a fantastic guitar, more OOO sized than OO. I've been asking myself why I haven't ordered twelve fret guitars with cutaways before - 12 fret richness of tone and access from the cutaway, its a great combination.

I used to post some build threads on 'the other' forum. I just wondered if folks here would want to see some. Some got annoyed by them and thought I was just advertising... your call.

I can't say I'm a great fan of his albums but I saw him at the Lewis guitar festival a few years ago. I only went because I had a free ticket as a sponsor, it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. So I went to the Brighton gig last Friday. It was amazing, just three musicians, excellent bass and a phenomenal drummer, it was uplifting to see three guys 'in the groove' and really working together.
